Collinson Construction has built a strong reputation for delivering successful traditional construction projects in the sports and leisure, education, industrial and commercial sectors.
Over the last 20 years we have become a specialist in both traditional and modern construction methods, often blending these specialisms depending on the requirements of the project.
We launched our ‘Traditional’ building division to underscore our credentials as a main contractor for traditionally built construction projects across the North of England.
Having been a UK forerunner in the adoption of modern construction methods, including modular and tensile buildings, people have come to know us primarily for these specialisms.
However, with a dedicated team of construction and property professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, we can work with you to create a shared vision for almost any traditionally built project within our core sectors, either as a main contractor, or as part of a wider contract team.
We look beyond the building itself to help you achieve your goals, focusing on what success looks like for you and the people who will use your building. This approach has made us a North West construction company of choice.
Our Traditional building division focuses on traditionally built projects, typically with a contract value of up to £10m.
We work closely with the property community, including developers, architects, surveyors, engineers, client’s agents, planners, and other key project stakeholders, to act as a trusted construction partner for
a wide range of developments.
Whether it’s a new-build project, a major refurbishment project, or a combination of the two, we have the expertise to support your goals. We’re a Lancashire based construction company but we work on projects across the UK.
Being versed in a wide range of building techniques means we can offer clients and their project teams a fully rounded construction service, tailoring one or more building solutions to the exact needs of the project.
We also have an in-house architectural design team which means we can either directly deliver projects from inception through to completion, or by collaborating with existing design teams and project advisors in a design management capacity.
The projects our Traditional division gets involved in covers:
Construction projects only succeed when all parties work together. We seek a deep understanding of your requirements and build strong relationships with all members of the project team.
We operate a fully integrated quality management system to ISO 9001 which supports regular reviews of effective working processes. This ensures your requirements are identified, documented, and understood.
We use suppliers whose values align closely with our own. It’s enabled us to build long-term relationships with suppliers we know can help us achieve the highest quality and value for money for you.
Collinson’s extensive experience of managing sites with multiple stakeholders will ensure your project is run effectively with little or no disruption. We leave nothing to chance, undertaking a detailed stakeholder mapping exercise and ensuring everyone is listened to before, during and after works have been completed.
We strive always to be a considerate and responsible contractor. Our site management teams proactively communicate our plans to stakeholders – including on issues like traffic management, logistics, security, site cleanliness and housekeeping.
We work collaboratively with clients and partners to ensure the highest standards in safety and security. Collinson holds all relevant CHAS accreditations for compliance with UK health and safety legislation and the CDM Regulations 2015.
We want to delight our clients and make sure they are fully happy. As well as giving you direct communication with the site delivery team throughout the build process, we offer a thorough and committed aftercare service.
We work with partners to minimise consumption of natural resources, reduce waste and carbon emissions, and maximise recycling rates. But we want to go above and beyond simply what is required of us. We are currently working towards the Environmental Management System ISO 14001 and have committed to achieving this by 2022.
