Project scope

As Main Contractor, Collinson Construction handled the design, build and fit-out of a multi-sport centre including changing facilities, viewing gallery, reception area and storage rooms.

Entering the Superleague

Wellington College opened their new facility with a fantastic display of the skills the centre was built to develop, including masterclasses in tennis and cricket.

The headline event? A netball match played on the new showcase court.

As well as Wellington College’s own staff Superleague stars, Amy Flanagan and Sophia Candappa—currently playing for Manchester Wasps—international Superleague players Rhea Dixon, Yasmin Parsons and Rachel Dunn were there to join in the action.

Performance Icon

“I have no doubt that this building will help to provide a springboard for girls’ cricket and tennis and for our excellent netballers to go into orbit. Boys’ cricket and tennis will undoubtedly thrive.

“I hope and trust that the local clubs and community, and OW clubs, will be able to use this place as much as possible. It is a remarkable facility.”
