This project saw Collinson create a bespoke tensile fabric structure for a globally operating client that has been producing and supplying formwork solutions for projects spanning residential buildings, to stadiums, bridges and even the world’s tallest tower, for over 150 years.
Using our deep expertise in tensile fabric structures, we designed, supplied and installed this solution to an extremely tight schedule, delivering the building from the ground up in just five weeks.
Based at the company’s new purpose built seven-acre headquarters in Sittingbourne, Kent, the bespoke tensile fabric building was created from a steel lattice structure covered with PVC architectural fabric, while an electrically operated roller shutter door provides vehicle access.
With a footprint of 864-square-metres and standing at over nine metres high, the new facility is strong and reliable, and has proven an excellent solution for our client. It is now used to house timber and steel formwork which supply the company’s construction projects.
